Back in March Ian was contacted by the International Disaster Response Director for Samaritan’s Purse Canada and asked to network them with any organisations or church networks running activities to help the refugees fleeing West across Europe due to the Ukraine War. They were looking for partners who could receive funding to help run their activities.
Thanks to his lifetime's worth of networking and connections, Ian was able to recommend nine contacts working with refugees in locations across Europe. Including Austria, Slovakia, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Ian assisted seven of these contacts to make funding applications which were approved and together they have received an excess of $800,000 USD from Samaritan’s Purse to fund their relief efforts!
Samaritan’s Purse worked quickly and efficiently to review and approve the funding applications so these partners could start putting these funds to work helping the refugees.
