STEPS UK Course

"Thank you for a great X-perience!" The Xcel Centre, Newton Aycliffe, England,  was the setting for Proton's latest STEPS to Excellence training course.

At the beginning of November, members of the Proton Training team, headed to the north of England to deliver a fast-track version of the STEPS to Excellence programme.  A small group of 8 local delegates joined Jim Dunn, Proton's Training Director, and Wendy Bolton, Proton's Business Development Manager, at the Xcel Centre, Newton Aycliffe.

At the end of the two days together, the group agreed that they came away feeling much more positive about themselves, confident and in control, with a desire to see the ideas from the course applied and used in their everyday lives.  Discussions took place over the coffee breaks about how programmes such as those developed by The Pacific Institute, are assisting communities and organisations with real culture change and transformation, from the inside out!

This was the third fast-track course  facilitated by the Foundation in the UK during 2010, with over 30 delegates travelling in from around the world, to sample first-hand the potential of the programmes.  Every delegate said they would highly recommend the course to others and were considering how to maximise the potential from the materials in their own personal contexts.

STEPS is just one of the courses profiled in the Proton Foundation's Education, Training & Development portfolio.  With facilitators based in several nations around the world, the Foundation is well positioned to pursue training opportunities in any nation; new initiatives are being developed for 2011 in the UK, mainland Europe, North America and Australia.

PX2

Scott Thomson, one of Proton's UK based facilitators has recently completed PX2 conversion training and we are therefore delighted to now be able to offer PX2 courses from January 2011 onwards.

PX2 is a powerful course specifically aimed at supporting teens and young adults, those at risk of exclusion, young offenders and those not in education, employment or training.  The course carries national accreditation in the UK and is an ideal addition to any school or youth service provision.  >>find out more ...
