STEPS Fastrack course

At the beginning of March organisational leaders from the UK, France, Romania, Czech Republic and the Netherlands joined the Proton Foundation team at Grovelands House, Coventry to experience the STEPS to Excellence course.

Jim Dunn, Proton Consultant and TPI European Director, facilitated the course over a two day period. Opportunity was also given for networking and connection over meals and a social evening.

Leon Evans – Director of the Phase Trust said, “We enjoyed the two days and found them stimulating and provoking. A lot to digest and assimilate but well worth the investment.”

Sorin Nicolae from Romania said, “We have already decided to review the course, meeting once a week to discuss the lessons we have learnt. We also want to implement the programme further to our leadership team in the future.

Facilitated as a fast track taster course, aimed at introducing Pacific Institute (TPI) programmes to a wider audience, the delegates experienced first hand the benefits and personal impact of the course, before exploring ways in which the materials could be implemented and included as part of their organisational training/development or as part of their community service delivery in the future.

“Challenging”, “practical”, “well organized”, “enjoyable” and “relevant” were just some of the words used delegates to describe the course, specifically appreciating how the “technical” aspects where illustrated with life stories. Everyone that attended, without exception, said they would highly recommend the programme to others.

The fast track course was repeated by the Proton Foundation on 29/30March, with more delegates travelling in specifically from overseas.
