Ian Green Communications is currently offering an internship placement in the role of Ministry Assistant to Ian Green. Elevate cultivates culturally aware people who desire to see the nations of Europe transformed. As an expression of Ian Green Communications and in partnership with Next Level International and the Proton Foundation, we aim to provide meaningful opportunities for interns to gain cross cultural experience and become agents of change, whilst helping them to develop skills that will prepare them for success and serve them throughout their lives.
THE OPPORTUNITY – MINISTRY ASSISTANT TO IAN GREEN Ian Green Communications is currently offering an internship placement in the role of Ministry Assistant to Ian Green. This is a 1-2 year placement commencing in 2010 is for an emerging leader (male aged 20+) sensing a call to ministry/business leadership and looking for an opportunity to be exposed to an international ministry, missions and/or business experience. As ministry assistant to Ian Green, you will be working in a faith-filled, passionate, innovative and entrepreneurial Christian environment, intensely connected to the daily activities of Ian Green Communications and Ian’s ministry and work expressed through Next Level International and the Proton Foundation. You will need to be a person with a heart to both learn and serve, being intentional and disciplined in regards to pursuing your own personal development. Alongside coaching you will receive from the elevate programme, your time with Ian will also provide an opportunity for personal mentoring. As Ministry Assistant you will have the opportunity to join and assist Ian on some of his international ministry trips therefore flexibility and a strong work ethic is required. There will be times when you will liaise with other Christian and business leaders on behalf of IGC and attend meetings alongside Ian, therefore confident and solid communications skills are of great importance. Through your contribution to the IGC team you will be helping Ian to be as effective as possible by freeing him from the burden of the organisational/administrative aspects of the ministry, enabling him to focus on speaking and ministering to leaders and churches more effectively. Strong organisational and time management stills are required. Knowledge and experience of using IT is essential; multi-media skills would also be desirable. This placement is offered under the banner of Elevate and therefore you will join other interns in the activities and training requirements provided through the programme. AS AN INTERN As an intern you will be based in Bedworth, England at the NLI offices where you will be fully integrated as part of the wider NLI/Proton/IGC team! Interns see behind the scenes and learn valuable skills in the way that we work. Each day you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on IGC projects. Your placement will allow you to discover your talents and give you immediate opportunities to engage with the many projects currently being developed and delivered. We will train and develop you to be an effective leader, leaving your time with the organisation not only knowing how to do something, but actually having done it! IGC wants to invest in you as a whole person by helping to strengthen your character and develop your gifts and talents. You will learn from people devoted to helping you become a success! Interns attend classes throughout their internship designed to give them a strategic approach for developing leadership skills. Each day interns will actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the ministry. Tasks could include, travelling internationally with Ian on speaking engagements and appointments, working alongside Ian’s Executive Assistant coordinating travel itineraries and speaking engagements, overseeing the promotion and sales of resources and products, development of creative informational materials on behalf of IGC, research related to projects, facilitating and coordinating events.
FEES & ACCOMMODATION This internship position is specialised and includes an investment by IGC in regards to international travel expenses. Fees are dependent upon the period of the placement and details are available on request. Fees for elevate are due one week prior to arriving in Bedworth. elevate will offer a payment scheme to each individual intern as necessary.
Each intern will be responsible for raising their own support in order to join the program. These funds cover accommodation and food whilst based in the UK, training, materials and an administrative fee. Interns must have additional funds to cover personal expenses. Expenses when travelling with Ian on the required ministry trips will be covered by IGC. Accommodation Interns will live in housing provided by home sponsor families. These families are in partnership with IGC and must complete an interview process before being accepted as hosts. In addition to a private bedroom, meals, and laundry services, home sponsors also serve as a source of encouragement and support throughout the year.
